Surface treatments
Based on specific requests, Plan carries out surface treatments on machined tubes of various formats and materials.
Painting
The welded and cleaned parts are ready for colouring: you can choose between powder or liquid painting. Different colours can be chosen from the wide range of available RAL and pantone colours.
Chrome-Plating
Metal tubes are coated with a layer of chrome, which, when applied to the surface, greatly improves the appearance as well as increasing the hardness of the surface and consequently its resistance to corrosion and impact.
Galvanizing
A coating is applied to the steel tube with a layer of zinc to protect it from corrosion. Galvanising can be either hot dip or electrolytic, ideal for small parts or complex shapes.
Pickling
(for stainless steel)This process is carried out on stainless steel tubes to thoroughly clean the material and increase its resistance to corrosion.
Electro-Polishing
(for stainless steel)After pickling, stainless-steel tubes can be electro-polished, a process that polishes the metal, giving it a chrome-plated appearance and the highest level of corrosion protection.
Nickel-Plating
A process performed to cover the metal surfaces of tubes by plating them with a thin layer of nickel. Various colours such as black, gold or copper can be chosen.
